Raster or Bitmap Image: Images made of dots. Each individual one contains specific information as to its size, color and position within the image. Images created or captured as a grid of colored dots called pixels. It contains a finite number of pixels, the way a bitmap image looks is affected by its resolution. If you scale a bitmap image, it will lose detail and quality.
